I checked my tapes but no-one else from UFO was interviewed. They
did talk about the UFO convention that took place after the series
was screened.

'Late Nite Late' was the beginning of all night television in the
UK, back then it would go off-air around midnight until breakfast
time. Southern television had asked viewers to write in and request
a series to be repeated. Apparently UFO was the most requested and
was the first 'viewer's choice' shown. It was followed by another
sci-fi series called 'V'.

I'm wondering whether other ITV regions in the UK did something
similar? If so, was UFO the most requested series? Perhaps other
regions had UFO guests being interviewed, if they were also
screening UFO around this time.

I'm very sorry to learn this was the reason.

I knew Ed Bishop had made headlines in 1980's sometime. I thought he had died not his son. This is terrible. For those of us who believe in prayer I think we should pray for Ed. It may have been a long time ago but losing someone that way always leaves emotional scars, especially when it seems to echo an episode of UFO. I lost a cousin to accidental electrocution and a dear friend to lose of control of a speed boat. They were both killed and i am still getting over the loses.

I was living in the Central TV region at the time and they just showed the
series at about 3am. I say about because they could be up to 45mins out
which meant that I had to get up in the middle of the night to set the video
going because I didn't have copying facilities.

I didn't know of any other regions doing anything like Southern.
