(Hi Janette
RE: Space Channel. I would. I live in Toronto, where are you?)
Hi Everyone
One of the guys at work writes a column in the staff newsletter. A few months
back he happened to mention that although there is a book called "Everything
I need to know in life I learned from Star Trek", he - in fact - learned
everything he needed to know from Gerry Anderson. The article went on to talk
about Ed Straker, UFO, and Space 1999. AND - It turned out that there are 4
or 5 people who are either UFO or Space 1999 fans in our building.
So what is it that our Editor-in-Chief learned from Gerry Anderson and Ed
Straker:
1. You'll spend most of your life behind a desk.
2. There are always more cheque requisitions to sign.
3. Bureaucracy rules.
4. No matter how bad things are, they can always get worse.
5. By the time you defeat the aliens, quell the explosion at the atomic
waste dump and get back to your desk, your in-tray will be full again.
cheers
Julia
