Mirroring the overwhelming sentiment here, I, too, feel as if some
intimate connection with the past that is now irretrievably lost. Who
amongst you didn't thrill at the sight of the Shadow Interceptor's
launch as children, or pretend that they were sliding down the tube
into an interceptor's cockpit? I can state, unhesitatingly, that I
will miss these people terribly; they were a fundamental component of
my life, and were instrumental in shaping a portion of my childhood.
That we decide to become members of this forum is irrefutable evidence
of the degree of their influence, and disingenuous to state otherwise;
they were as much a part of our lives on this rotating globe of
entropy as any other valid experience. Again, I shall miss them dearly.
