We are dealing with TV drama and I can see why on BSG they introduced the story of the Cylons taking human form it's what an audience will relate to.
But more than that the fundimemtal story of the Cylons evolving and then fighting against themselves was an inetegent progression that had me, because it was so well done I accepted it.

In saying that I wouldn't like it if they buggered about with UFO to much but I do think you have to move on a bit. The original was made 30 years ago.
I don't want to loose the original ideas but I don't think you can take the original scripts and re-film them with everything the same, surely we have to make improvements.

Freeman disapeared in the second series and was replaced by a woman.

I would definately keep the female operatives wearing cat suites and mini skirts evan purple wigs!

Oh, and most importantly, the Aliens will all be hot blondes... :-)
