I remember this episode from way back, parts of it anyway. Straker
being yanked out of his car, Dr. Jackson's theory, and of course,
the "did I just see what I think I saw?" moment when Foster was
cavorting with the girl in the park. I'd forgotten the destruction
of the radar installation and Skydiver 3. Though I liked the
characters, in retrospect I wish that Freeman and Peter Carlin had
been safeguarding the radar base and skydiver---if only to explain
where they went rather than have them vanish from the series.
I'd forgotten how much Jackson's role grew over the series. From an
"almost-villian" Henderson's lap dog to the obvious inspiration for
the Victor Bergman character in 1999 that Koenig depended so much on.
He certainly did well in the latter role and I've never heard anyone
dislike him or accuse him of having the Wesley Crusher last minute
solution to the problems of the universe and this week's episode
syndrome."
I'm so thankful the show finally came out on DVD
