But doesn't that mean that no matter what, his grip was wrong?

If I was using the correct grip on a bat or club as a right-hander and they flipped the film to make me look like a left hander, then my grip would still look correct right? And vice versa.

So whether the film was flipped or not, he still had the grip wrong.

Golf etc.

Griff
Hi All :)

I also noticed Ed's golf 'skills' in Destruction years back. I just always
assumed that he wasn't a golf player (couldn't play!) even a great actor like Ed
would find that one hard to fake.

I can't play golf either, although really enjoy watching it. S'truth, Ed still
probably plays better than me!!! I'd be lucky to hit the ball at all!!! If I
did, I'd probably have really hit that swan...

Best to all,

Griff

Re: Golf etc.

SHADO

I was never a very good golfer either. I understand your point about it being hard to fake being a good golfer if a person has never golfed before. But only in regards to general form of the swing, not the grip one would use. Being an American male, one would think that Ed Bishop would've swung a baseball bat at some time in his life. And even if he had never golfed before, but HAD swung a bat, the OBVIOUS way to grip the golf club, and the most natural feeling, would be to imitate a baseball grip. It just seems very odd to me that ANYONE would mistakenly grip the club the wrong way.
But then again, maybe Ed really is a golfer, and has just found that he hits better using an unconventional technique. I myself throw a baseball right handed, but am far better at batting left handed. Golf lefty, too(but still use a conventional grip).

I hope I'm not annoying anyone with my apparent nit-picking. I'm just enjoying the conversation... : )
