Although "Identified" was expressedly written as UFO's introductory
episode, I would
argue that the faster-paced "Exposed" would also be a valid choice.

As we follow the process of Paul Foster's detective work, "Exposed"
actually allows
viewers to discover SHADO through the interactions of an outsider
"everyman"
character.  (Mind you that this is Foster's perspective for this one
episode only.)

My episode choice would depend at least in part on who was going to be in the audience. If they weren't familiar with UFO, I'd probably pick something basic like Identified or Exposed.

But if they're already fans I'd go with something that's popular and would be fun to watch on a big screen: Timelash, Reflections, Confetti Check, Sub-Smash, or Kill Straker - or just put it to a vote. (Timelash is NOT among my favorites, but I think it would be fun to watch with a crowd of fans. New people would just find it confusing, though.)

(Originally I was thinking I'd pick an episode that would pair well with the Space:1999 episode that was going to be shown with it, until I found out that would be Dragon's Domain. I don't know if there's any UFO episode that really "goes with" Dragon's Domain!)

As for which episodes I would NEVER show... probably Ordeal or ESP, simply because I can't stand them. I'll admit that The Square Triangle is a much worse example of UFO and I would certainly never show it to new people who wanted to know something about UFO; but I can still enjoy it as an interesting non-UFO story with a little bit of UFO in it.
