the your text files have contents not signed "Marc Martin"
but the my drawings of the costumes have all "Angelo Finamore" signed.

Ahh, true!

I notice that same seller is selling UFO photos -- batches of 120
with "10 available" (10 x 120 = 1200 photos).  Obviously printing
their own...

Angelo,
Then you should definitely report them to Ebay!  That is exactly the kind of thing they want to be notified about.  It's a crime, after all.

Please don't let one jerk without morals ruin what you've accomplished.  Your blueprints are a valuable resource to those of us who routinely wander the corridors of HQ or Moonbase for our stories.  Besides being great art, they provide us with the static visuals so necessary in plotting out scenes.  If you feel that you simply must remove your site, then of course, you must.  But please consider offering your book once more.  Those of us who count on your work as a reference guide would happily pay for a copy.
Yours,
Denise

Straker, somehow it's always about you.

Hi Angelo,

Yes, I have had this problem quite a bit myself, and it's a really low-down and rotten thing to do...

You have my sympathy, but PLEASE do not let it affect real UFO fans out there, and on his list.

There are technical methods (but non foolproof) to counter these thieves.

When I had problems with thieves selling my technical artwork on eBay, I contacted eBay and they were very quick looking into the case, and in the end 'shut down' the culprit. Sure, it was a pain, and has happened again since in another case, but the important thing is that eBay were very 'hot' on this.

My other course of action with folks stealing my technical artwork were 'cease and desist' letters from my lawyers with demand for compensation and even worse. That really did the trick. Fortunately, I am able to use the legal services of Intel (one of my biggest clients), and having their legal department issuing a C&D would scare most thieves off.

Contact me off-line if you wish to go into this further.

Best to all, Griff

like i said, from what others have posted here, i would by a copy of your art book, if it were some kind of bargain for everyone one time on sale. paying full price would be ok too i guess, but i would have to budget it in, and that might take a few months, since i am making other purchases. but, for you, and the show's fans and just about right and wrong, dont withdraw your work because of a rip off, come back stronger with the legitimate item for sale. if you want a bunch of sales at once, offer a discount!
if not, then just keep posting it, collectors are strange birds about the original items, they will want one.
