But the current trove of files from the Yahoo Group can't be hosted there?

Even so, I think this is an excellent move.

Yes, I don't have a solution for all those files & photos we had on the YahooGroup.
It looks like it supports photo galleries, but I'd have to figure out how that works.
In the meantime, we'll have to settle for external site links and email attachments.
