Thanks for the advice and URL's. I heard something on the radio today about
the US Marine's OSPREY which was supposed to merge the fighter and
helicopter. From what the report said the program has been plagued with
problems and questions from congress.

It's had a few problems, but it's not a fighter, it's an all-purpose
transport. It's intended to replace helicopters in the support role for the
Marine Corps, and if they ever get it working properly, it ought to be a
great aircraft! SHADO ought to look into securing a few for the SHADAIR
fleet! ;-)
