Re: THOUGHTS ON DESTRUCTION

"We have no quarrel with the people of Earth" an alien said via a possessed
human......

I think the aliens actually see Terrans as we humans often see lab rats and
other animals who are lower than us on the food chain. They have "no
quarrel" with us, they just want to take what they want with no resistance.
Whether or not we object to their depredations is of little consequence to
them. The aliens are supposed to be from a "dying race" but that could
include not only physical body probs for the aliens, but exhaustion of their
own planetary natural resources, and bring in many other reasons for why
they come to earth. I doubt it's purely for body organs - I think they're
after whatever they can get their little hands on. However, the abducting of
humans for the harvesting of organs is what draws human attention to their
activities. If mineral shipments get way-laid or disappear completely, it
isn't making as much of a ripple as human vivisection is.

Compare the aliens to other situations here on planet earth. Humans are
experimenting with using animal organs for transplants. We don't have a
problem with this, but maybe the pigs and monkeys being used for these
experiments might! We don't credit these animals for understanding what they
are being used for - and the human emotional detachment on this issue and
many others concerning the usage of animals for human purposes, may parallel
the alien viewpoint of us. They may see us as a lower form of intelligence,
because we are technologically less-advanced, or perhaps even less
culturally advanced. Maybe the aliens, like Star Trek's Vulcans, have
dispensed long ago with emotions, and so they don't have any ethical or
moral problems with raiding earth for whatever they want. I think their
ruthlessness is similar to that of Trek's Borg. They have no feelings one
way or the other about us poor humans. We are simply here to be exploited by
them in whatever format they see fit - because after all - their needs come
first - and humans are just a lower form of life.

Yeah, I think the aliens just slice up the humans, take out the organs, and
pack them for travel and transplant on their world - why bother shipping
whole bodies - takes up more space. Pam

Perhaps what aliens did varied according to occasion and time and kit
available. If they had a stasis canister or a spare alien spacesuit
free or not. If they had time on site for dissection or if they had
only time to "scoop and run" before some Earth jet fighter or
whatever interfered. If the abductee looked like a possible candidate
for mental reprogramming as UFO crew or to extract information or
technical or scentific skills: e.g. in the Coundown comic strip UFO
story "The Snatch" (novelization at
http://www.shadolibrary.org/library/anthony/snatch.htm ) Foster was
abducted to the alien homeworld and escaped from an interrogation and
processing room and found two other abducted humans (a physicist and
a surgeon) and they stole a UFO each and flew back to Earth.
