I can't see Val Kilmer as Alec Freeman. Kilmer,
rightly or wrongly, unfortunately has or had a
reputation as being a bit of an 'aggro merchant'. In
'The Island of Dr Moreau', he was cast as the hero but
then took a supporting role - rather like casting an
actor as Foster in a UFO movie only for the actor to
play the part of Freeman!
I hope that if a UFO movie is made, little-known or up
and coming actors are cast in the main roles. The role
of Henderson would be too small for an actor of Gene
Hackman's stature in a UFO movie. Let's face it,
Henderson wasn't in every episode of UFO, was he? I
expect that a UFO movie wouldn't feature all of the
main characters from the series, although if it was
successful and a sequel was made, maybe some of the
other characters could appear.
As for Halle Berry playing Nina Barry, Halle Barry is
an established actress as well as being an Oscar
winner too. She has a small-enough role as Storm in
the X-Men films, Hall playing Nina Barry would be even
more miniscule!
