Yes, back in the FAB-UFO days one of the members mentioned that
he ran a thinly-veiled UFO RPG game, and was delighted when one
of the players jumped up in the middle of the game and stated
something along the lines of "hey -- I remember this -- this is UFO!"
I suspect that if you can still access the lists at the Pipex server you
will find this message sometime in 1996-1998. Does anyone here
remember how to do so?
As an offside, there is a popular PC game that it is currently in it's
third iteration. Although its current title escapes me, evidently it was
initally sold as 'UFO' in the inital release. Supposingly the basic
concepts of the storyline bore a strong resemblence.
