I always took it that he started out needing to get information on how much
she had or hadn't heard, but then that testosterone kicked in and he started
falling for her. Then in the end having possible bliss ripped from him by
the reality of SHADO.

I watched this the other night and I was just wondering how many
people thought Straker was somewhat involved with "Joe Fraser" in the
responsibility seat? Or do most people think he was just playing her
along until he found out what she was all about?
I thought he wasn't involved until the comment to Freeman at the end
of the show and it made me wonder if I was wrong in the way I read
that little scenario between the girl and him.
