I happen to read the ufo series homepage and noticed that someone had
tryed to make more series of ufo (brief summary of what the site said)
In January 1996, Albert Hastings sent a message to the FAB-UFO
mailing list stating that he was part of an Australian film
production company, and was going to attempt to create a new TV
series which would be a direct sequel to UFO. He encouraged a letter
writing campaign so that these letters could be included with a
proposal to be sent to potential financers. He contacted actor Ed
Bishop, who expressed great interest in reprising his role of Ed
Straker. He also contacted original producer Gerry Anderson, who gave
his blessing to the project. The proposal was completed and sent, but
there was no response. By October 1996, Albert admitted defeat.
With the realase of likes of dare devil new supermen and star wars
episodes do you think this could be the perfect time for placing this
idea to the studios for another try???????
I think with the revial of old style of programs being made into
films example is tunderbirds the movie which is in production at the
moment, i think if anyone has away of conatcting this Albert Hastings
i think they should and push him again to try producing the 3rd series
ihave noticed that the ufo series has now been realse on dvd as i
have both sets and think it at least needs a plassable ending.
