SHADO Car

in the army i had a m-17 a-1 grenade launcher on my rifle and carried a  l.a.w. rocket and tube on my pack. one of them babys could take out an amored personel carrier. it would be cool to see straker knock down a pesky ufo barnstorming his car...!

I think that's a Delorean Nat.  Its also getting on in years like the original
Straker  car.
    In reply to Jim's idea about defenses like missles rather hard to do on
something as small as a car despite what one see in Bond films.  Things you
could have are stuff like a eletroshock door handles and pepper spray to take
out car jackers.  For a UFO attack other than the armor I don't know and not
sure that would resist a laser type weapon.  However another defense I do know
of being put on cars is this stun light that gives off a burst of light so
intense it overloads the optic nerve and causes the persons seeing it to be
temporary blinded and be knocked out.  That might take out the UFO are at least
make it impossible for them to hit the car as you can't hit what you can't see.

there is an article on hydrogen being extracted from sewage and waste for fuel.
i think the plant is in germany.
that means that our waste is now and efficient fuel source.

i would like to see the scene go like this;
 
straker skids his car sideways to a halt
 while the ufo is comming up behind the trees,
 he grits his teeth and says something like;
 'i'm sick and tired of you damn alien freaks chasing me in my cars......'
and launches a rocket or grenade from the trunk of the car
 dead center to the approaching ufo
and knocks it off into the hillside next to him.
then him swearing under his breath.,, 'that's for henderson ten years ago.' as he stands and watches it burn from the roadside.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a high res poster of
Straker's car?

I'm looking for a project to practice my 3D modeling, and the lines are
simple.
It could be painted a rich bronze finish and rendered, given the glamour car
treatment.

Here's one I started today of a Toyota Yaris.  Very curvy and still a few
days to go on it.

idea of the paint finish.

I guess you could put a missle in the trunk of the car if the trunk is big
enough.  I saw a SUV that had a machine gun mounted in it that could be raised
up out of the back but it took up so much space there was no where for anyone to
sit beside the driver and the front seat passenger who became the gunner.  I
guess it might be possible to get a missle down to the size of one of the old
2.7 inch rockets like they use on helicopters and fit it with a targeting system
like the laser guided Hellfire missles and have the aiming device built into
Straker or who ever the driver is sun or driving glasses.  Then they just have
to look at the UFO and press the button and to borrow a phrase "Interceptors
immediate launch!"  followed by a large explosion.  But where do you put the
spare tire and luggage?

the law missle i had to carry was less than a yard long, could be aimed manuelly with extreem range and accuracy, just a flip up scale range finder and you pretty much hit your target. the grenade launcher on my m17 a-1 rifle was just perfect. a little practice and i could land a greanade in a drinking glass at 200 yards.
