SHADO Rule Refresher Course... :-)

Marc Martin

Hi all,

I would like to remind people that when you are replying
to other people's messages, you should edit the
original message down to the fewest lines possible.

Also, you should change the subject line if your message
is about something other than the subject line states.

Because of the recent flurry of off-topic posts & one-liners,
I've put a few select members into "moderated" mode. This means
that these people's posts may never appear on the the mailing list,
because I reject them if they violate the list's rules.
Also, it means that there will likely be a several hour delay
between the time that you post something and when it is seen
by others... it all depends on how often I check to see
if there are any posts requiring review.

Also, all new list members are moderated until I can
see that they are not junk mailers and can follow the rules.

People who usually follow the rules will not be
moderated, and your posts should always appear - and quickly!

So, if you attempt to post something & you don't see it
appear on the list, I suggest that you review the list
rules at:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SHADO/files/rules.html

However, since the rules page is a bit long, here are the most
common violations:

* off-topic posts

* one-liners

* posts which are replies to previous posts, but includes
most/all of the text of the previous post
