SHADO-USCC

Bill Adkins
I finally found the envelope with my SHADO-USCC membership and I'm so
excited I can hardly stand it. Years of looking got even more
frantic when I learned that Colonel Dale Jones actually sent the cards
to England for the Commander's authorization and signature. But now I
have the card and the 3X5 glossy safe and sound in arms reach. If
anyone cares to look, I've posted it at:

http://home.earthlink.net/~camillus/IDENTIFY.JPG

I'll share newsletters and information from way back when as time
permits, but in the meantime, here is Colonel Jone's official
biography of the "big man" himself, as the traitor in TIMELASH called
his boss:

ED BISHOP - A BIOGRAPHY

Ed Bishop was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on June 11. He was raised in Peakskill, N.Y. where he attended high school and junior college until he was called up for service in 1952. He served two years in the United States Army, working as a DJ and announcer. In 1954, he was discharged and went to work for Remington Rand Inc. in Buffalo, N.Y. adjusting customer complaints. Planning for a career in Business Administration, Ed attended Boston University, but soon found that this was not to his liking. Then in 1956, he enrolled in the Theatre Arts Division of Boston University. Upon graduating in 1960 (with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree), he applied for, and won, a United States Fulbright Grant to study acting in England. For two years, Ed studied at the London Academy for Music and Dramatic Art, and in July 1961, he started his career as a professional actor.'

In 1962, he married Miss Hilary Preen at Caxton Hall, Westminster. His four children were born in 1964, 1967, 1968 and 1971.

Ed is 6 feet tall, weighs 155 lbs., has wavy light brown hair and blue, blue eyes. His hobbies include gardening, do-it-yourself work around the house, restoring antiques and watching old movies on TV. Ed's greatest ambition is to sell everything and buy a large sailing ship, then sailing around the world, following the sun, doing as little work as possible.
