SHADO the Musical

screwedmorethenonce
Ye Gods I can see it now. They would have to use a revolving stage so
that they wouldn't have to wory about props.
But I do have one question (I can hear her now... Only one?) Just
what would the Aliens sing, or how for that matter?
I have always wondered if it is possible to talk when "breathing"
water. Is that why they never say anything in any of the shows that I
have? While in the suits I mean, althought I thought thinks were
pretty quiet in that dome, come to think about it.
By the By, who would you suggest we cast for this fiasco in the
making?

It was always assumed the aliens were telepathic. Certainly the
Countdown story strips emphasised this.

Well, if it was a West End production, John Barrowman would have to play
Straker, as he seems to be the only American actor in UK musicals these
days. Then of course you'd need Elaine Page as Virginia Lake, supported by
Michael Ball as Foster.

Nightmare in the making.

Phil.
See what you can do with turning "In The Navy" into a recruiting song
for SHADO.

So long as we don't have to have Straker, Freeman and Foster dressed as the
Village People to sing it.

Did we ever do a disscusion on The Psychobombs? I have tried to figgure out how it is that just the right three people who were needed for this attack were in the area. Or could they have used any adults who were near by?
Are aliens telapathic with humans normally, or only when they are hyptnotized by a pulsing green light they can't even see at the time?

That's right, encourage the insanity....though Alec as the guy in the black
leather isn't a bad picture.....

TAE (foster as the construction worker, and Ed, of course, as the 'chief')

If it's a musical, they wouldn't have to sing. They would DANCE!

Can't we just keep the mouse as our special SHADO Feline Alien

I don't know about SHADO the Musical, but I do know that if there was a
soundtrack album of the musical issued, it would have to sound EXACTLY the
same as it was performed on the stage or wherever........

Oh, and it would HAVE to be in mono.

:-)

Hehe, such a *Musical* does exist, Simon.
You'll be surprised ;-)
Composed and performed by Barry Gray himself!
And of course, it's in mono :-)

It's from the Fanderson convention in 1982 and
I put this small cue into the files section
with (hopefully) kind permission of Fanderson ;-)
(BTW, the rather poor sound quality is from the tape.)
