Hi all,
Here is a report on ISOSHADO's recent event with Shane Rimmer,
sent to me by Paolo Malaguti.

A short summary of the latest ISOSHADO event starring UFO actor SHANE
RIMMER
Shane and his wife Sheila are indeed two nice persons!
This is the first spontaneous thought that comes to our minds after we
spent
three days with the Rimmers...
Upon their arrival in Milan Bergamo airport on Saturday April 26 in the
morning our guests have been welcomed by ISOSHADO with the honors that
such
a big actor as Shane deserves, and later enjoyed a "light lunch" with
other
ISOSHADO Staff members.
As per our schedule Shane has been available to film a long and
interesting
interview in the ISOHADO Loft, during which we have recorded more than
three
hours footage!
Thanks to the various questions submitted by the ISOSHADO Staff, and
asked
Shane by our unique Paolo Brandimarte, with the precious help of our
professional camera operator Guido Scaglia, we believe we have made a
truly
interesting recording once again. During the interview Shane has told us
about his long and detailed career in a very friendly and jolly
atmosphere.
Obviously most of the inverview was focused on UFO, Shane's
recollections on
the three episodes he starred in, his friendship with EdBishop and
others
from the UFO cast.
During the interview Sheila toured Milan downtown, taking also a view to
the
city from the Duomo roof.
Saturday ended with the "ritual" dinner with the ISOSHADO Staff where
Shane
and Sheila could enjoy some Italian kitchen "musts".
Sunday April 27 morning started with a neverending autograph session for
some of the ISOSHADO members and later Shane and Sheila had a short walk
inside the Legnano city park, followed by a light lunch.
Then we drove to Milan to be hosted by Edward Coffrini at his Admiral
Hotel,
where the meeting with UFO and 007 fans was scheduled. The warm
Trafalgar
meeting room already set for the event featured many Bond giant posters,
portraying the various 007 actors, from Sean Connery to Daniel Craig,
who
have starred in 007 movies for the past 40 years.
Also this event took place in a familiar atmosphere with questions from
the
two moderators (Paolo Brandimarte and Edward Coffrini) as well as from
the
audience and Shane's recollections turned out into a very interesting
and
fruitful afternoon.
We also played a video including many of Shane's appearences in his past
works, spanning from Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove to Out Of Africa
to
Rollerball etc.. This was probably very welcomed by Shane, who could
from
time take a break from the various and endless questions he was asked...
But
then he was not spared from being asked other questions concerning his
long
career.
Another endless photo&autographs session finally closed the afternoon in
Milan which went on with another Italian dinner with friends.
The day after Shane and Sheila left Milan by train for a short stay in
Venice before flying back to London.

Shane and Sheila are really two nice persons, but we believe that now
Shane
will not sign any more autographs for one month at least!
