Sircam virus and rundll32.exe

Bill Cotter-3
Do NOT blindly delete rundll32.exe - it is a needed file. What the virus does is slip it's own version in there, usually renaming the good one. You should really go to the Symantec site, search on sircam, and follow their instructions. Otherwise you could damage your system and still have the virus hiding.

Hope that helps - back to the regularly scheduled topic of UFO! I'm only sending this along to the list to help stop anyone from doing a delete they'll regret!

Hi Rob and others

I have checked my hard drive and only have 'rundll32.exe'. Isn't this a
vital programme? According to the properties description it was created in
1998. I think it has been on my PC all the time.

So I have not deleted it. Please can anyone give me help on this?
