Did they speak their lines of "Depth 600 FATHOMS" and "900 FATHOMS"
in the episode "Destruction"?
As far as I know, in most cases, a mililtary submarine's operating
depth is transcribed by a unit of foot accompanied by a unit of meter
for the sake of convinience.
For example, the maximam operating depth of the USN's NR 1 Deep
Spbmergence Craft, which is a nuclear powered ocean engineering and
research submarine, is mentioned 2,375 feet (724 meters).
BTW, the above mentioned NR 1 is a helpful to us in designing the
Skydiver, I think.
If my memory serves me right, this is the smallest nuclear submarine
ever built (length: 150 feet), which is operated by only seven crew,
that is, two officer, three enlisted, and two scientists.
Considering such a reality, the Skydiver could be well operated by
even only three or four crew, I hope.
