Started to watch my Christmas presents !

John-2
Well guys, for the weekend, I have been glued to the PC watching the
first 4 DVD's... (you try kicking the missus off the TV when Corra's on)

Did spot a couple of mistakes, but I don't mind at all..
but also spotted the 1984 bottle of wine, and then a later episode
mention 1981... a mistake perhaps or just out of sequence...

anyway, I am well enjoying my childhood again, and can't wait to
continue with the last 4 DVD's
I can't believe I am still as excited as I was back in 1970 !

Pam McCaughey-2

Hi John - I know how you feel about seeing UFO again after many decades - I bought the complete set late in the fall of 2007 and greedily watched all 26 eps within a couple of days - I was just blown away with how good the SFX were, the miniatures, the hardware, the costumes, and there were few poor eps than I remembered - most were pretty decent - and many with adult themes (i.e. drug use, adultery and murder, etc). The sad part is, if there ever was to be a remake - those of us who loved the show as kids are definitely going to mourn the loss of the original actors - and we may be disappointed in those actors chosen to play our heroes - I just hope a remake will be better done than Thunderbirds and will be aimed at an ADULT audience - because that's the fan base - babyboomers who watched the show during its original run 1970-71. OT - just took at look at IMDB for the new Trek movie and the actors chosen (at least by their pix) are NOT attractive or even applicable to the characters. For instance the actress chosen to play Uhura isn't even black. The actor chosen to play Kirk is so unbelievably unattractive and Shatner as a young man was gorgeous. Just plain disappointing - they've also hired some 'name' actors to fill in - Wynona Ryder as Spock's mama and Ben Cross as Sarek, Spock's dad. Ewwww! pam the Canuck
