Straker's office

mjoyal
Does anyone know where I could get a copy of some prints (schematics
or design drawings) that show how the multi-colored light panel behind
Straker's desk was built (what Foster escaped through in "Court
Martial")? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I always thought it would make a great screen saver. Now someone must know
how to make one of these.......

That's a really interesting point- I've never really thought
about it. I wonder if it was a projection screen with one of
those liquid filter things they used to use for discos back
in the late sixties and early seventies, being attached to
the projector ..? Just guessing..

Going only by what you can see in the various episodes, I suspect that
the effect is achived by having several different colored lights
revolving around a single shaft (the 1970 version of the "light
ball" that's often found in modern dance clubs)and being projected on
opaque glass. The cameras and set would be on the opposite side of
the glass, so you couldn't see the mechanism. Unfortunately, that's
only a guess.
