What is now known as "The Elstree Moat Hotel" was the "Thatched Barn Hotel". I'm off to review the maps.. Thanks again. Lorraine |

I am just kidding with him because sometimes we (group members) expect him to know everything or find it out. I don't think I've ever caught him making a mistake but I'll keep checking ;-). Hi All,
If you are using Google Earth, you can see Neptune House (Harlington-Straker Film Studios) by entering: Latitude: 51 39 35 22 North Longitude: 0 16 28 37 West Zoom right in, and there it is :) Best to all Griff [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Also, that set is clearly visible from the aerial shot of MGM, on the upper left corner of the picture: http://www.tsf.net/~penrose/mgm.jpg Marc |

Hi all,
Following up, after looking at Microsoft's "Bird's Eye" view of this location, I've determined that this is indeed the same tree that's on the ISOSHADO page. If you go to the following site, click on Bird's Eye view, click the rotate icon a couple times, and you'll have virtually the same angle on the tree as it on the ISOSHADO website: http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=51.662907~-0.261715&style=h&lvl=19 Marc > > See also here: > > http://www.isoshado.org/9/centrale_1005_files/page_02.htm > > Teresa, do you think that this satellite photo is of > the tree? > > http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=51.662907&lon=-0.261715&z=19.8&r=0&src=msl |
Straker would have loved all this technology :) ...mind you he would
