Just a thought; allowing for the fact that Skydiver 1 is severely damaged,
and allowing for an indefinite repair turnround, would there be a 'back-up'
Skydiver[s] on standy-by to fill in for Skydiver 1`s patrol area?

Yes. It is a proven fact that there is more then one SkyDiver. The Psycobombs blow up SkyDiver 3, so that would indicate that there are at least three subs and proabily more.It might be interesting to comb throught the shows and see just what kind of force they really have at their disposal.

I would think so - apart from the fact that there's a small
fleet of SkyDivers (we see SkyDiver 4 in PSYCHOBOMBS), in
'Ordeal' we see a reserve Sky 1 turning up after Foster takes
the 'original' Sky 1 to go on leave.
