Technical queries about Skydiver (the sub)

anthonyappleyard <MCLSSAA2@fs2.mt.umist.ac.uk>
See http://www.buckrogers.demon.co.uk/temp/skydiver0.jpg for a render
of my adaptation of Don Showalter's mesh model.
(0) It seems to have impellers rather than propellers (one on each
side). Where are those impellers' water inlets? If it blows, it must
suck somewhere. Does the light grey metal curved piece halfway along
each side cover the impeller inlets? Or what? It can't suck through
the two round ?holes at each side on the extreme bow, as Sky 1's jet
nozzles fill and block them when Sky 1 is docked. The inlets should
be the right shape to act as hydrojet nozzles wqhen the impellers are
act in reverse when Skydiver is going astern.
(1) With Sky 1 set the right size to fit a man in its cockpit, and
Skydiver set the right size to fit Sky 1, the man on its deck seems
to be about the right size to fit what seem to be hatches on Skydiver.
(2) Skydiver could turn left and right by running one impeller more
than the other; but how does it turn up and down? I see no sign of
movable hydroplanes like on most submarines. Do the various fins
round its stern end have movable vertical and horizontal rudders on,
like on aircraft? Or what?
