That "DVD Angle" review -- stereo?

Marc Martin

Hi all,

By now, I'm sure that most of us have gotten used to these UFO
DVD reviews being loaded with errors. In reading through the
"DVD Angle" review

I find myself puzzled at why the reviewer is convinced that
the series has been remixed into stereo. For example:

"One surprise is that the shows had been remixed to
regular 2-channel stereo from their original
monophonic sound"

"These new mixes are remarkably hiss-free"

"No wonder they decided to do the show in stereo remixes"

"Purists, who would prefer the original mono sound and
have home theater set-ups, could try their Dolby Pro
Logic decoders."

"but this remix is still from mono, which is still present
in many scenes."

Everyone else in the world seems to think it's the original
mono sound, which leaves me wondering how this guy has
convinced himself it's in stereo???

Re: a question about music

Hi all - I know this somewhat off the topic you've been following, but a
fellow UFO fan here in Canada has asked me to pass on the following query:

Long ago, Century 21 cobbled together a couple of UFO episodes into a
"movie" called Invasion UFO.
They edited together a big battle scene at the end using clips from a bunch
of episodes involving a massed attack on Moonbase, Skydiver, etc. During
this scene they abandoned the original score of the show and used a funky
disco music bed. Well, I loved that music they used no matter how
blasphemous it is. It got no credit in the "movie".
Anybody know what it was?

Pam,

it's the same as the title theme. You can download it, see:
