That Moonbase kit

Hi all,

I just got an e-mail from someone in Japan who tells
me that the UFO kit which is currently being offered
is a "poorly produced kit", so I guess potential buyers
should be aware of this. Has anyone purchased this kit?
Note that this is not the IMAI kit, but the company
which purchased the molds to the IMAI kit.

Marc-
It is produced from the same molds, and Aoshima produces kits about the
same quality or better than Imai used to, so I amnot sure how worse it
could be...

I have to concur with AT, I don't really understand the comment. For a
kit with 30 year plus old moulds, the moulding quality is fine. As
the kit that has largely been out of production for that period [ie
the moulds hav'nt been over used] it is better moulded than many a kit
from the era. I believe it got to a point were the original 70's issue
was [maybe still is for all I know] changing hands for a couple
thousand pounds.

If the comment refers to the toy like elements - well there is nothing
one can do about that :-)
