What is it that you are referring to specifically?  

I don't think there were any manned bases on the moon in 1975 - 1990, so
you must mean something else... :-)

They foreshadowed the election of Gerald Ford to the presidency.

They predicted the final conflict between capitalism & communism ans correctly predicted capitalism would outspend, outlast & win the conflict but at great cost to the capitalist structure.

They described the increasing use of advanced narcotics to control simple human behaviour. Including the unethical use of GHB.

They correctly demonstrated the future of the military-industrial complex and the rising tensions within the complex itself.

This is more about everything other than moonbases & space travel. A fascinating episode!
