Hi all.
Just joined the group after finding it, and I also have a set of the
Konami toys, including Lt. Ellis in mini-skirt and S.I.D. from the
Konami Premium pack released last year.
Being a model builder for a long time, I must say the detail on them
is just fantastic! I've built many a larger scale kit with far less
attention to detail.
Plus, for anyone with limited space for display, you really had to
choose what you wanted to display. But these are perfect...small,
well detailed and you can definetely build up a lot of them and still
have left-over space for other items.
And the 'action features' for some of them are very kewl...I must
have sat there for almost 15 minutes spinning the paddles on the UFO
and 'recreating' the sound effect for it ^_^;
What I'd like to know is this: do any of the other members have an e-
mail address for Konami so we can send in suggestions for new UFO and
Space 1999 pieces? I agree that Konami needs to do other Gerry
Anderson series, they did a Captain Scarlet series, but there really
weren't all that many vehicles for that show. I'd really like to see
the variants of the ufo, the moonmobile, the lunar tank(s) and just
about everything else previously listed.
