In case anyone is interested, A&E have recently
released the first season of "The Protectors" in
a 4-DVD boxed set. This includes the episode
"The First Circle" guest-starring Ed Bishop.
As far as I know, only deepdiscountdvd is
carrying it; not even the A&E on-line store has
it listed. I just received my copy but haven't
had a chance to look at this particular episode
yet. I assume the quality is comparable to the
Carlton Region 2 release, which was excellent,
considering the series was shot on 16mm versus
higher-quality 35mm film.
