I just finished watching the first two episodes of the new CGI version of Captain Scarlet. They did a great job on it. You can tell the characters are not real actors, but then again the original cast wasn't either. It sure made me wish they were doing UFO - the story was very well done and a faithful adaptation of the original series. There's also a nice homage to UFO as the Angels prepare to take to the flight deck: http://www.billcotter.com/misc/captain-scarlet-1.jpg Regards Bill |

If I remember correctly, they didn't use Ed Bishop for Capt Blue's voice, as it had aged too much to get away with it (something that's borne out by his voiceover on the little Capt Scarlet scene they filmed for one of the Scarlet DVDs). So if that's correct, what's the new voice of Captain Blue like? Cheers James |

Captain Blue is a typical American voice, nothing special at all. I sure missed Ed Bishop in the role. Captain Scarlet sounds completely different as well, and I missed the "Cary Grant" tones of Frances Matthews. The only one that sounds the same is Colonel White. Not yet - this was a preview DVD courtesy of a friend at Sony, who will distributing it in the US. Not sure of the air dates or what stations/networks yet. Bill --- In [hidden email], "Marc Martin" <marc@u...> wrote: > > Is the new Captain Scarlet being shown on television somewhere? > > Marc |
