"Threshold" starts tonight on the sci-fi channel (US)

Hi all,

I see that the US "sci-fi" channel is going to start
showing the TV series "Threshold" starting tonight at
10pm (following "Battlestar Galactica" at 9). This is
the series that was described in Wikipedia as being
similiar to UFO (although others here posted that
they didn't notice much of a connection).

I watch Battlestar Galactica, so I certainly won't
have an excuse for NOT watching this...

Charlie & Lorraine-2
Hi, I watched the "Threshold" episode and, while I found it
entertaining enough to keep my attention, I would not say that I
thought it was similar to UFO. The fact that it was a covert
operation to keep the "alien visitation" under wraps was the only
similarity. SHADO personel were not kidnapped to work for the govt :)
That might be the U.S. spin on it. I personally would have felt
privileged to work for SHADO and they would not have had to threaten
me to keep me there. (although, like Brent Spiner, I would have
apprciated a paycheck LOL).

I did enjoy the part near the end where Brent Spiner mentions that
they haven't discussed paying them for their work. His subsequent
comments made a lot of sense as well. (I cannot recall exactly what
they were - do you?). The actors chosen were also believable in that
they weren't all beauty queens and studs which has often been the
case in other Sci-Fi channel programming.

I plan to watch the next episode to see what happens. That speaks
highly for the program since I don't normally watch TV anymore.
Thanks for the "tip" Marc! Did anyone else think it was similar to
UFO?
