Timelash - Ed Bishop doing his stunts?

apecalypsenow
Hey guy,

I enjoyed the fight between Straker and the SHADO agents at the
beginning (end?) of 'TIMELASH' so much! In certain scenes it doesn't
seem BISHOP is playing his own stunts... or maybe I'm wrong on this???

Anyway, great great great episode... maybe the best?

Certainly there are a couple of scenes in UFO where you can see that
a stuntman is being used - not sure I can remember one in Timelash,
though. Ed's wig looks like it's about to jump off in search of a
saucer of milk in a couple of scenes, but I think it's his own head
underneath.

One of my least favourites, personally. Don't much like it.

You are correct -- the stuntman in TIMELASH is rather obvious
in places (especially if you use slow-motion or freeze frame).
Of course, nobody expected that we'd be looking at these
episode so closely, and so many years later!

A few months ago I posted a screengrab of the Straker stunt double in
the Photos section. This was taken from Timelash.
I accidently saved it to the wrong album (RC Shado Mobile) and
couldn't move it.

FIX:

His face was altered by the X-50, now in critical phase.

Hmmm.... won't this mean Straker must have used X-50
in 'Reflections' as well....? ;-/

It's a good one, but I personally think 'Mindbender' is the best
episode, although 'AQOP' is excellent, but then so is 'CCA-OK', and
I really like 'Exposed', or 'Ordeal' is good fun, or..or... oh well,
never mind!! ;-)

Oh no! Is the stuntman really so visible in REFLECTIONS?

Yes, I'm afraid he is :-(

Have a look at the last fighting scene; it's definately the same
stuntman in some of the longer shots.....

Thinking about 'Timelash' - this stuntman appears in another action
scene; where Straker runs from the wall shooting the machine gun,
rolls on the palettes (?) shoots some more, then runs out of shot :-)

Later on, during the minature car chase where Straker watches
himself, there is a different person to this stuntman playing
his 'double'.... :-/

Have you any explanation for where Straker's car's gone to? :-)
