Which 3D graphics package would you use? If you use Poser and/or Bryce:-
(1) I have made (but not put on any web site) translations into .OBJ + .MTL
format of Don Showalter's UFO series Lightwave models, including preserving
the texture mapping. Bryce can import Lightwave mode, but without the texture
mapping.
(2) There are a lot of useful 3D models and information and utilities and
forums on http://www.renderosity.com
(3) On http://www.buckrogers.demon.co.uk are:-
A Poser model of a UFO series alien.
A UFO, posable (if you have a PC, not a Mac), including optional openable
side door and underbelly hatch and exit ramp and stand legs.
An alien rifle.
(Also Poser models of a Grey and of a different sort of ray-gun, and scuba
gear, etc.)

The only page which should be in chronological order on my
website is the "What's New?" page, which always puts the
newest things at the top of the page.

The rest of the pages on my site are ordered in whatever
way I decide at the time... sometimes I put newer stuff
at the top, other times I keep what I feel is the most
interesting stuff (or introductory material) at the top.

...and every once and a while, I think about eliminating
all those columns which show the dates when things were added...
then I wouldn't need to answer questions like this... :-)

But please, what is its full WWW address? These main UFO series sites
are big; and not all of us have managed to keep track of site and
address changes caused by the recent upset with Simplenet.

Please, when is UFO:1999 likely to be on sale on UK-mode video???

Ah, but in certain cases it's better not to answer questions, that way you
leave people wondering, "Why?" - Ask the Andersons, they know all about it.
We've been discussing "Why did the aliens come here" and have come up with
so many answers we still don't know why!

Last year, some folks in Alabama decided to create their own spoof
video to be shown at the Space:1999 "Breakaway" convention. This
video was a sort-of "UFO meets Space:1999". Although the video was
shown at the convention, it wasn't shown anywhere else or offered for
sale, so practically nobody on this list has actually seen it. This
year, the same group of folks put together a sequel video which was
supposed to be shown at the Space:1999 "Main Mission 2000"
convention. Unfortunately, the video didn't arrive in time so it
wasn't shown, so practically nobody has seen this one, including me.
There has been talk of possibly doing some sort of grassroots
distribution of these shows on video for those that want them, but so
far it's just been talk.

My "Conventions & Fan Activities" page has a few frame captures from
the videos:

http://ufoseries.com/conventions/

Hopefully next year these will actually be available to people!

Hi Marc,

Thanks a LOT for the info. That clears up the curious confusion, eh? :-)) I
was really wondering for a few minutes there... And hoping., I guess. Anyway,
if the distribution ever gets sorted out I'd certainly like to go on the list
of seeing the videos! Thanks!
