UFO Book

croprobe
Thanks to all on their feedback on the UFO Book.
The info that the cover was on the Fanderson website
was a help, it seems I saw it on the home page, and I have
now found that it has been moved to the book section.
The Reynolds and Hearn site is going again with the full
title being shown on the book cover photo, but the title
given minus "Gerry Anderson's" in the catalogue titles, probably
to save space. Strange how it is given a different title at
Amazon UK, somebody must have made a mistake, especially
critical since they seem to have heaps of different books
on the general UFO subject. I think a cover photo at Amazon UK
would be a big help, but as Marc says Chris Bentley has only
written one UFO book so hopefully Amazon will sort it out.
I inquired at Amazon UK to see if I could order the book from
Amazon US along with some other stuff I intended to purchase, to
save having to send money to UK and US, but they told me that
Amazon US could not sell the book where another company had been
given the rights.
Regards from Kevin.

Re: UFO Book

Hi all,

Chris Bentley sent me the following email regarding his new UFO book:

----
Hi Marc,

I noticed the recent queries about 'The Official Guide to UFO' currently
being advertised by Amazon and can confirm that, yes, that is the confusing
alternative title that Amazon seem to have decided to adopt for the book!
Steps are being taken to correct it.

The publication date is given as October 30th, as this is the date by which
the publishers reasonable expect bookshops and internet sellers to have
received their stock - in other words, the date on which members of the
public should be able to walk into any bookshop and purchase it. The reality
is that the book actually ships out to stockists tomorrow (October 24th), so
some shops could well have it on their shelves this weekend - particularly
speciality bookstores in London, for example.

Fanderson members who have pre-ordered the book from Fanderson Sales should
start receiving their copies any time from Monday onwards, and UK members
will almost certainly have received them before the publication date
(overseas shipping takes a little longer).

All the best,
Chris
