Hey, guys!
I really liked James' idea: "pseudo-canon" indeed! Hilarious!
Anthony tried to categorize it for us:
I suppose fan-fiction could be divided into:-
>- Stories that follow canon absolutely.
>- Stories that add non-canon characters and vehicles etc.
>- Stories that clash with canon.
What about the subheading "Stories that follow the series except where it's
cool to add in something new and exciting"? Mine are those kind of canon.
*grin* And Yuchy, what's wrong with making Straker an alien? It always
seemed to me that sooner or later, the series would have brought that fact
out about him. I mean, just look at him! He looks and acts like an alien
to me! *giggle*
Anyway, in the final analysis, who cares? If the story can stand on its own
merits, canon means nothing. If the story sucks, no amount of canon will
save it. Read enough fan fic and you'll see what I mean. But James, that
"pseudo-canon" bit was priceless!
Yours,
Denise
