"Collect them" ? I think when they first came out, you could buy
the whole set all at once. Or are you referring to the extra ones,
like the autographed cards, the costume cards (which I've heard were
fakes)...

Re: UFO Cards

Yes, Cards Inc. finally admitted that the costume cards were fakes.  Ihave no idea if you could buy the entire set (minus the special cards) at one time, at least as a sealed item, as they came in sealed packs of 5 cards (I think it was 5).  But I DID buy the entire base set of 72 cards on eBay at once, as sellers were opening packs and collating sets and glomming onto the rarer cards to sell at a major profit (obviously).  I evenmade sure to get the binder and Mike Trim Auto Card (quite cheaply, too).  All that said, the reason I ask is that I am missing only one card, and am hoping someone has an extra to sell or trade.  I am looking forthe Future Fashions #FF009 card.  I have an extra Stuart Myres Alien Autograph Card to swap if wanted by someone.  And yes, I know Stuart Myres was never actually in the series.  I have checked on ebay for oneoff and on for the last 6 months, and haven't seen the one I need.  :)

P.S.  Collect/own/possess/whatever.  And before I get my chops busted for this, I mistakenly stated that the base set was 72 cards.  Itwas 100, not 72.  ; )

I have both versions of the regular set (plain and metallic) plus Mike Trimautographed card and folder.
Sets were disappointing, at least to me, actual picture content area was small due to intruding design elements...

RE: UFO Cards

SHADO
Thanks Branko.  I appreciate the offer, but I won't trouble you for that.  It is General Henderson, correct?

Per your other post, I found the cards somewhat disappointing too.  I ended up not even getting the parallel foil set, although now I wish I had one.  I very much like the binder, though.  The Mike Trim auto card is sort of lame, as he signed it in ballpoint pen instead of Sharpie like the rest of the auto cards.  And as you know, the sig looks very childish and herky jerky, as it is difficult to use an ink pen on glossy cards.  Who signs auto cards with a ballpoint pen these days anyway?

Yes, it is General Henderson, and the stupid caption says: "General appearance". Not very funny, isn't it?

Dear Jeff,
I'd like to know where, how, and on which occasion Cards Inc. has stated
or acknowledged that these costume cards were fakes?
Personally I own some original costumes coming from the UFO set, and I
always had many doubts on the origin of those cuts which were advertised
as original studio costumes cuts by Cards Inc..
I'd like to better understand what you are referring to when you mention
this "statement" or "acknowledgement" from Cards Inc.

Re: UFO Cards

SHADO
Hi Paolo,

Perhaps I overstated it, as I didn't go into detail (didn't think much about it).  It was a few years ago, and I guess it wasn't an "official" statement released to the general public.  Someone at one of the trading card shows had spoken to a representative of Cards Inc., and the rep had admitted to them that the cards were fakes.  I didn't find itall that surprising, and I didn't bookmark it for future reference.  Guess I should have.  I don't even recall in what context I saw it.  Might have been someone's blog.  Might have been in a random card forum.  Wish I could be more help.
