Cartoon 50 is "Destruction III"
Sadly based on an actual happening.

Reruns:
ESP

ESP II
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SHADO/files/esp2.JPG

Coming soon, a non-drawn (kind of) cartoon to go with the
previous "Computer Affair" cartoons.

In the next few weeks UFO cartoons suggested by Dave and Bryan
(in order of suggestion) will be presented.

Regards, Kevin.

Kevin, I recognise Straker and Henderson. Who is the 3rd gentleman? Can you explain the meaning to me, it went right over my head. Art work was great as usual.

Sorry, the third person is supposed to be Admiral Sherringham,
out of his naval uniform, in the scene at SHADO headquarters where
they are waiting news on the attacking UFO's position, he is seen
missing his mouth with his pipe by several inches, I thought that
hopefully his men were better shots if it came to shooting down
a UFO, which they did anyway, at the beginning of this episode.
I was wondering why Admiral Sherringham would not arrive at
SHADO in his navy uniform, as he was there on official business.
Maybe he would have created a bit of suspicion if he were seen
arriving at the Harlington Straker film studio in uniform.

Regards,Kevin.

Kevin, you are going to LOL or think I am a crazy lunatic. I did not recognise that it was a pipe. Back in my bad old days when I hit puberty I got acne really awful. Still have adult acne, it is a skin condition. Anyway somebody back in the old days thought it would be better if you used an instrument to pick blackheads. Yes it is gross. I thought the admiral was picking at a blackhead. These night audits are getting to me.

Sorry, my fault again. The entire pipe is never shown on either
sketch, and I can now see how it may appear to be other than a
pipe. I was thinking of adding a bit of smoke coming from it,
but in the episode, I don't actually recall it smoking.
(Maybe Admiral Sherringham had given up smoking and never lit it)
Although Straker does "get under Sherringham's skin"
when he pretends to be from the ministry of aviation and questions
him in his naval office. So maybe it wasn't a pipe after all.(:o))

If it's any consolation I figured out that it was Admiral Sherringham
smoking a pipe right away but then it's one of my favorite episodes.

I like the episode also but for a different reason. Stephanie Beacham was very young in this episode. My eyes were on her. I also look at these pictures real late at night.

Yes I picked up on her right away also. I'd known her from the
Seaquest series, was it back in the 80's? One of my favorite shows at
the time.

It's funny because one of the places I visited on my England trip was
Whitby Abbey and they had an audio guide explaining the ruins and I
could almost swear that one of the voices doing narration was
Stephanie's voice.

Karen, I would not doubt it. Stephanie Beacham seemed to hit her stride in the 80's. She was Sable on the Colby's. NBC liked her so much they gave her a series called Sister Kate. Her voice is so mellow it makes me feel great just hearing her. Whoops too much information.
