UFO Episode Discussions -- THE MAN WHO CAME BACK

Hi all,

I'm a bit overdue on moving our UFO episode discussions
onto the next episode, which is THE MAN WHO CAME BACK.
Anyone have any comments on this episode? If so,
please make them within the next 2 weeks!

Thanks,

Marc

Hmm - but Straker still kills Collins, no? I'll have to watch that
episode again today - I don't remember it quite the same way you
do, I have to say .. I hadn't remembered that Collins fought the
alien influence. I probably wasn't paying attention, it wouldn't be
the first time that someone had posted about something I'd never
noticed before :)

No, it's not commonly used as an expression for dying, but it
DOES seem to be used in that sense here, which I find a little
odd. It's not an expression one comes across that often, but
usually it means 'unconscious', or for a participant in a sport,
unfit to continue.

I've been an admirer of Derren Nesbitt (the guy who plays
Collins) ever since seeing him playing the menacing SS Major in
'Where Eagles Dare' ("sit DOWNNNN, Colonel .."). Gets a bullet
between the eyes from Clint Eastwood, shame. Saw him at the
theatre once as well, years ago (1984 I think). Great actor.

I don't think he has a chip on his shoulder about authority per
se, just that he doesn't get on with Grey. As you say he is
a friend of Straker, who after all has more authority.
