UFO Forever!

Hi...
Just like to say glad to be aboard and am enjoying searching through the years of UFO interest here on this unique forum. Some rather amazing blow-ups of the SHADO girls at what appears to be a Birmingham based show from either late 60 or early 70s led me here, and so I joined. I had assumed those PR pics were at the west London studios or such, around back lot sets, but it appears I was wrong indeed.
I watched the series when it first aired and was spellbound initially by the moonbasegirls (sorry but I was 13 at the time) and then thoroughly enjoyed the series as a whole. Like Dr who and Daleks, UFO and the moonbasegirls and their amazing outfits have managed to etch their images clearly on my mind and there they remain to this day.
I met Gabby Drake once, back in the early 70s, when I was a young messenger boy, delivering just off the Kensington Church Street, and very nearly asked her if she still had her Moonbase outfit... but couldn't bring myself to. She was very friendly and although she looked very different without her mauve/lilac Moonbase wig and make up etc I was quite literally over the moon for the rest of the week!
Over the past few years I have put together a kind of UFO/Moonbasegirls meets Dr Who and the Daleks/ meets Amazons etc etc etc (sci-fi mix-up) CGI comic strip story with over 1300 renders to date...
Great forum and looking forward to any new info...

Welcome to the group!  Not nearly as busy of a group as it used to be, as it seems most of the current activity has moved to Facebook.  

I think you're referring to the promotional photos of Ayshea plus two others in Birmingham, to promote the local premiere of the show (Sept 1970)
