Well, it's amazing how the technology progresses... but... I am afraid we haven't yet achieved progress humanity had in 1980's acording to "UFO" (except for optical media and mobile phones). Where did we take the wrong turn? I consider I saw HD versions of "UFO" by seeing pictures on Marc's web site. Enough of a proof for their existence. Nice to hear "Granada" is planning pillar boxed edition which will show all of the picture. I just can't wait for this kind of progress to happen : ) BTW, the last two batches of New photos are just amazing! (not that there's something wrong with the others) Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Certainly, aerospace and marine engineering isn't quite up to the standards of UFO-universe 1980 yet, but we have computer power and gadgets way in advance of anything Gerry Anderson foresaw. Just glancing across my desk for an example and my telephone caught my eye. I used to think that the cordless handsets sometimes seen in UFO were unrealistic when I was a kid, but here on my desk I have a cordless telephone with a bright little colour screen built in, that displays pictures and text. Of course, it's 2007, not 1980 .. > I consider I saw HD versions of "UFO" by seeing pictures on Marc's web site. > Enough of a proof for their existence. Not sure what you mean by "pillar boxed edition", as that's a term normally used for widescreen content intended to be shown on 4:3 aspect ratio screens, no? James |

The term I see for that (widescreen content on standard TVs) is "letterboxed" (black bars on top and bottom). standard TV content on a widescreen TV would be "pillarboxed" (black bars on left and right side) Marc |

Thanks Marc. James |

I don't like black bars on any side, to be sure, but that's the best way to adapt content to other format. Being a purist, I think that's much better than cropping, although many people like to see full screen, no matter what is lost in the process. I tend to respect original artistic composition of anything, from paintings to video.
