Thanks for the input Marty.Yes its a question of just giving the foil a try.

Grateful for your experience Mike.Can,t get hold of the brand
you mention in UK .I have to say though that paint
does,nt tend to give the highly reflective quality required,but
as you say its the result that matters.

Marty makes a good point about SNJ (forgot to mention it). this stuff will
buff up much more realistic looking in scale than the foil will. I have
used both, buffing paints and foil, on model aircraft and actually think the
SNJ/buffing paints look better. But try both and see what effect you like
better. Locate a good hobby shop in your area and you should easily find
both products.

Also if you are interested in the Testors brand of paints you might want to
check http://www.squadron.com/ these guys ship anywhere and literally have
everything. Or try http://www.hannants.co.uk/index.html for a UK based
supplier.
