Thanks to all who responded to my posts about the model
It may not surprise you to learn that I am presently trying to make this model myself.To begin with it is only a small version (about 4ins across),but if I,m happy with the result
I have plans to build one twice this size.
I am about half way through completion and have just finished the first part of the mould for the top clear canopy.
It is quite a fiddly job and one of the most tricky problems
is ensuring the smooth finish to the edges of the 15 paddles that are attached to the central cone structure,they also have to be aligned as neatly as possible,so that when spinning you acheive the same effect as in the first scene in Reflections in the Water ( you know where the sailor thinks he,s caught a glimpse of a new type of submarine)
It looks ok at present,but I know I can make it better.
Perhaps everyone will now realise why I am asking so many questions about this model.
I,ll let everyone know how things progress and will if there is a desire give instructions and other information about how to construct the model if I think its a worthwhile representation.
