I haven't heard any real news about "the UFO movie" in perhaps a year or two.
I'm assuming it is dead, unless someone knows differently?

Of course you're right Marc, UFOseries is the best site dedicated to the series UFO, but I think it's better that we speak in many places rather than the few. UFO the movie is an unofficial page that seeks to discover and disclose even small news but at a time like this I do a lot of pleasure to many fans around the world.

I haven't heard any news at all... good or bad...

It seems like it's a dead project, just like all of the other UFO remake
attempts that have occurred prior to this.

I can say that the project on the UFO movie is not dead! Indeed, it is in full operation, contact me with the production confirm this. I guess we'll just have a little patience.

Well, that is interesting... did they indicate what exactly they were doing?

Were made models and miniatures, the new soundtrack, and the project and under development, certainly is not dead. Financial problems have slowed production.

Any news when shooting begins ?

It's official. Matthew Gratzner's "U.F.O." remake will happen! I have just read an article from october 1th 2013 about Gratzner's current and future projects. Here is the most important portion:

Gratzner previously wrote and directed the short film “Huntin’” and has served as a visual effects supervisor on several high-profile films including “Hugo”, “Real Steel”, “Shutter Island” and “Hancock.” He will also be directing the upcoming Sci-Fi pic “U.F.O.” which Kanarek and Gaudet wrote.

I know it's not a very big news but at least we can safetly say that we will see the movie. They added "upcoming", so we should know something soon! Fingers crossed!

That's not official.  That's the same type of reporting that we've seen for years.

And since Gratzer is only just started shooting a new movie as of 2 weeks
ago, that means UFO is NOT about to start filming in the immediate
future.

Yes, someone should see if these if these movies are any good.  Looks like at least one of these
is written by the same people who wrote the UFO movie.

Oh wait...  I don't think the first of these HOT BATH AND A STIFF DRINK movies has even hit theaters
yet, let alone home video.  And of course, the second film has only started filming.

And the second film is the one that is written by the same people who wrote the UFO movie,
not the first.

Marc not be so pessimistic, think positive, IMDb has released the crew of the film, I think it will be a good movie and we wont be disappointed ... :-)

I'm not being pessimistic, just correcting false rumors.  :-)

I even saw someone quite recently report that the UFO movie
had begun shooting, but upon further research, it was an entirely
different movie that had begun shooting!

Perhaps the "optimistic" people should be more careful about
spreading these false rumors?  :-)
