UFO Movie

rkrueg
Hi,
Interesting idea's!!! Why haven't I heard David Duchovny for C-in-C? He certainly knows Alien bodies. And maybe Amanda Bynes as a fresh faced purple-wigged (or would it be electric Blue by now) moon base ensign? But seriously, a personal favorite would be Denise Richards as Lt. Ellis. I agree that ONLY Ed Bishop could be Straker.
Since it's thirty years later he could be a General, Ret. who is called back for the current Alien threat. I liked the intro by James K. but would add that the current c-in-c fights a losing string of battles with the Aliens until, with the Earth about to fall, General Straker comes out of retirement (Mai Tai anyone?) and pulls out a last-ditch, victory from the jaws of defeat win with his command abilities and unique and special knowledge of the Aliens (insert flashbacks here). The threat is defeated and SHADO is once again in business. The true fun of this endeavor is to let the imagination run wild!

Thanks for the compliment Denise. Maybe I' ll get the thing wrote up one
day
after I untie a few Gordian Knots.

As to yours and other suggetions about whom to get to replace Straker. I
really can't see it, at least not in my idea for the movie. It would be
rather like trying to cast someone other Bogart in The Big Sleep or The
Maltesse Falcon or someone other than Gene Kelly in American in Paris or
Singing in the Rain, or someone other than John Wayne in Stagecoach or
Hondo.
We aren't talking actors here but Icons. Its hard to find an actor who
will
fit into the Icon role that defined another actor. But that is just my
opinion.

James K.

Disturbing is not the first word that came to mind when I saw that picture, but my Father taught me to always say something nice so... Good job on the photo.
