Sorry for going over recently covered ground, but I deleted the e-mail with the necessary info - could anyone send me the address of the guy who produces the UFO soundtracks, and does anyone know how he's done it (ie from the original master tapes, or straight from the episode soundtracks off the TV)? Thanks in advance. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. |

The e-mail address is: [hidden email] (Harlington Straker Sound Studios) The source of the recordings are tapes that Barry Gray made for fans in the 1970's. So they are copies from Barry's personal reel-to-reel copies. Unfortunately, in many cases the copies were made onto audio cassette, so there's a big loss of sound quality there. However, at least there is only one generation of audio-cassette loss here... in the 1980's, fans were selling copies-of-copies-of copies, etc., which of course sounded pretty bad when each generation was an audio-cassette! This CD-R has been available for several years for the cost of materials & postage, but unfortunately people have copied it further and sold it on eBay, with final bid prices sometimes being a couple hundred dollars! Harlington-Straker Sound Studios also has similar quality soundtrack recordings for Journey to the Far Side of the Sun, Thunderbirds, Thunderbirds films, Joe 90, and Captain Scarlet. Good stuff to listen to while we all wait for Fanderson to release higher quality/more complete versions! -- Marc Martin, [hidden email] |

Hey, at least it isn't multi-generational videos! Those would really be awful! >This CD-R has been available for several years for >the cost of materials & postage, but unfortunately people have copied >it further and sold it on eBay, with final bid prices sometimes >being a couple hundred dollars! There was a space traveler named Wright Who liked to go faster than light He started one day In a relative way And came back the previous night!
