It would work more so, if there was a carry over of some of the characters.
For example,
Straker could be promoted to General - to take
over Henderson`s job - & possibly Foster & Freeman heads of other bases
elsewere....

Obviously, because technology has advanced quite a bit, there would be
differences in
the programme.

Hi Kevin - I've basically done the kind of update you've mentioned in your
post in many of my UFO fan fic stories on the SHADO Library - Straker is a
General, Freeman and Foster have also moved up the chain of command, etc.
