I agree with you on this.Nobody has ever produced an accurate replica of the model saucer,either in design or finish.
Mind you there are 3 distinct designs,and further variables within each design.
I once e-mailed professional model maker Martin Bowers about his studio size model.
I said that I thought his models were fantastic,but quietly and very nicely pointed out that the UFO he had constructed, surprisingly looked nothing like Meddings original.
I did'nt get reply.Or at least I have'nt yet.
